*EDIT* I'm an ass, I messed up one of the questions in the previous post of this. Sorry :icontoontwins: and :iconedoren:
Also, Happy New Years!

- Cosplay Survey - Taken from :iconhikarisukuru:

- What is your cosplay alias?
Jorsh. Huzzah!

- How many years have you cosplayed?
4ish, probably.

- How did you get into cosplaying?
I loved how people at cons dressed up. I wanted to do it too!

- What was your first convention and how?
AnimeFest2003.

- How many cons have you been to?
Twelve

- How many cosplays have you done?
Obito, Yamato, Tobi, Groom!Tobi, Yamashiro Aoba...and maybe one more I believe.

:star: Your Cosplays :star:

- What was your first cosplay and why did you choose it?
Obito, because I liked his character and I thought I'd be one of a few who would cosplay him that year.

- What is your favorite cosplay you've done so far?
Either Groom!Tobi! :iconhikaru-hime: was Bridal Sakura, or probably Yamato. Cardboard sideburns forever!
Plus doing a skit with :icontoontwins: and :iconedoren:

- What is your least favorite you've cosplayed?
Obito in that I was only one of two :/

- What cosplay is the most uncomfortable?
Tobi this past A-kon. Head to base of toe in black and Akatsuki cloak, plus mask.

:star:Process:star:

- How do you research the cosplay before you make it?
Read manga. Lots and lots of manga. Then look up various tutorials for certain parts of the costume.

- Do you sew your cosplays yourself?
No, but I'm trying to learn how!

- If so, how did you learn to sew? If not, do you plan to learn?
I DO PLAN!

- Do you make your own props?
Yes!

- If so, how did you learn to? If not, do you plan to learn?
Some tutorials online, and just through experience.

- Do you style your own wigs?
I've never worn a wig to cosplay

- What other skills do you use to create your cosplays?
My unnatural ability to do weeks worth of stuff in only several panicked hours.

- What skill has been most useful for making your cosplay?
Being able to ask people for help.

- What is the hardest thing when making a cosplay?
For me, sewing and the fact that I see everything wrong with my work.

- What was the biggest screw up you've had making a cosplay?
7 LB TOBI MASK #1 I couldn't see out of it.

- How often do you injure yourself while making a cosplay?
Never, to date.

:star:Budget:star:

- On average, how much will you spend on cosplay in one year?
Uhhh around $150-200 :/

- Do you try to stay cheap or do you splurge on materials?
Both.

:star:Conventions:star:

- What is your favorite convention?
I like A-kon's size, but Afest is a better one to meet people :)

- What conventions have you gone to?
AnimeFest 2003-2008, A-kon...2004-2008, Itsacon...and I think that's it.

- How far have you traveled for a convention?
An hour due to traffic :D

- Do you usually stay in a hotel or stay at home when you can?
Hotel. I like rooming with people :)

- What was your worst convention experience?
Itsacon. It was in a closed SteinMart. It smelled, to quote a friend, "like burning pee."

:star:cos-Play:star:

- Have you ever cosplayed with a partner or group?
Yes! It's the best!

- Do you try to act in character?
Yes. It's pretty easy because I'm naturally weird and clumsy like most of the characters. Yamato's goofiness was easy for me too.

- How do you react to cosplayers dressed as character from the same anime/game/etc?
For the most part, I think they do a better job costume-wise than me. I also try to get a picture with them.

- Do you try to duplicate your character's expressions, walk, movements, etc?
Of course! Tobi's facial expressions especially ;)

- When crossplaying, do you try to act as much like the gender as possible?
I have never crossplayed.

- What was your funniest experience of acting in character?
When the first time I cosplayed Yamato, everyone asked if I was cosplaying Asuma, just because of the headgear...apparently...looking like...sideburns?

- What was your worst experience acting in character?
At A-kon where I first cosplayed Tobi, I couldn't see anything out of my mask for the Akatsuki photoshoot. People all started hugging onto me and then someone ran their knee/head into a place where the sun-don't-shine. D:

:star:Competition:star:

- Do you compete in cosplay contests?
A skit one a couple of times :)

- Have you won anything?
nope, but it was great!

- Do you prefer skits or walk-ons?
Skits, but I haven't seen any good ones lately :(

:star:Community:star:

- How many friends have you made because of cosplay?
A bunch! :)

- Are you a part of any convention or cosplay forums?
I was, but I need to get their new forum link ^^;

- Do you attend photo shoots and meet-ups outside of conventions?
I did a couple of times, but I haven't in a while.

- What is the funniest reaction you've gotten cosplaying from people outside of the community?
Probably when I walked onto an elevator at Afest as Groom!Tobi (Suit, tie, pants, and Mask) when there were people from a religious con at the same hotel were in there. They were friendly and curious and asked me a bunch of questions like "can you see...or even breath in that?"

- What was the worst?
See the above-mentioned Akatsuki photoshoot ^^;

:star:Future:star:

- How long do you think you'll be cosplaying for?
Hopefully for the majority of the cons I go to!

- Name a few cosplays you're planning to do next:
Elizabeth from Gintama
Kondo from Gintama
Kishin Mademoiselle Saigou from Gintama
Obahan Luffy from a One Piece omake
Gangster Luffy from a One Piece omake
Law from One Piece

- What is your dream cosplay?
A really really really good and flexible Elizabeth in Zura-disguise complete with cannon.

:star:Miscellaneous:star:

- What do you take into consideration when picking a character to cosplay?
How much I like the character, and can I at least sort of pull it off.

- Is cosplay serious business for you?
Not really, but I do enjoy it.

- What is your favorite thing about cosplay?
Meeting new people and acting like the character you cosplay!

- What is your least favorite?
The heat that comes with most of the costumes.

- What is it that makes you keep cosplaying?
My love for anime and manga.

- How would you like cosplaying to change in the future?
For competitions- better skits.
For all cosplayers not to berate other cosplayers from different fandoms too much.

- How do you want to grow as a cosplayer?
Make all of my costumes myself.
